Back to basics for SME's
Aug 15, 2011

Wilby Risk Management supports the government’s drive to remove unnecessary burdens from small businesses, particularly in the area of health & safety. There is currently a review of health & safety legislation being carried out and the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) has announced it is to reduce the number of inspections carried out on smaller, lower risk businesses so it can concentrate on the higher risk industry sectors. The HSE has produced guidance on its website specifically aimed at SMEs to assist them in achieving legal compliance easily and simply. www.hse.gov.uk/simple-health-safety/index.htm.
Free Seminars
To further help employers in finding out what it is they need to do, Wilby Risk Management is partnering with Howarths, a firm of employment law solicitors, in delivering free seminars with a back to basics theme. The presentations will inform attendees on the essentials of running legally compliant businesses from a health & safety and employment law perspective, cutting through the vast swathes of, often misleading and sometimes deliberately frightening, information business owners are often exposed to.
