The HSE has launched a new website aimed at the thousands of workers who contract occupational asthma or other occupational lung diseases each year. It is designed to be helpful to employers and employees who depend on local exhaust ventilation for health protection. All workers involved with woodworking machinery, bakeries, paint spraying and welding, to name but a few areas of industry, should have a look at this site.

The website www.hse.gov.uk/lev/index.htm includes short video clips of workplace activities, including using saws, sanding and cleaning with compressed air, which generate airborne particles. Listed below are links to free leaflets which provide advice for employers and employees:
