Wilby Founders Pick Up Lifetime Achievement Award

We are delighted to announce that at last Thursday’s annual Halifax Courier Business Awards the founders of Wilby Limited, Peter and Nora Wilby, were presented with a well deserved lifetime achievement award.
The award is testament to the hard work and business vision which has helped to build two hugely successful local businesses – Wilby Ltd and Caravan Guard.
The winner of the award was kept a secret until the announcement and the surprise on Peter & Nora’s face was evident to all present as they were welcomed by a standing ovation to pick up the award. In their acceptance speech both Peter and Nora paid homage to the importance of their relationship and their ability to work well as a team, both at home and at work, as a key reason for their success.
Peter, who remains Chairman of Wilby Ltd and Managing Director of Caravan Guard, said “The award came as a fantastic surprise to both Nora and myself, we are proud to see the businesses which we founded continue to flourish and are honoured to be handed this award.”
The Lifetime Achievement Award was the highlight of a record breaking evening, hosted by BBC Look North News presenter Clare Frisby, with almost 400 people in attendance at The Venue, Bowers Mill, Barkisland.
