Blue Sky Resorts - Case Study
Blue Sky resorts operates four holiday home and touring parks and a further 15 caravan sales concessions on parks across the UK.
When Wilby Risk Management was first approached by Blue Sky resorts a health & safety management system for the parks was in place but it was not industry specific and had not been integrated into the way the company worked. Blue Sky Resorts management wanted a bespoke solution tailored specifically for holiday home parks, which would include an audit process that could be linked to managers’ performance bonuses.
By working closely with the company’s managers, Wilby risk management produced a system for managing the health & safety risks designed for the caravan industry sector and specifically for Blue Sky Resorts. A programme of annual audits has been implemented to check how the system continues to be used. The parks have taken ownership of the system so that there is a continual development of procedures and policies as the company grows. The initial system was extended to include health & safety management for the sales concessions and the management of swimming pools.
