Interiors UK Ltd specialises in commercial interior shopfitting working predominantly in the restaurant, retail and leisure sector. It works on new build and refurbishment sites across the UK for high street names such as Frankie & Benny’s, Chiquitos, Yo! Sushi and Garfunkels. 

The company acts as Principal Contractor on many projects, working to tight deadlines but always delivering high quality results.

Background

Interiors UK Ltd had robust health & safety procedures in place as part of its efficient project management arrangements. It saw an opportunity to work with an alternative health & safety consultant that could provide a service that could react quickly to the often short lead times associated with some projects.  

The Result

Wilby Risk Management has construction site management experience and CDM Coordination skills amongst its consultancy team. This allows its risk management consultants to quickly identify the major risks associated with each project and to provide site documentation in a format that meets the requirements of CDM Coordinators and clients. 

In addition to producing Construction Phase Plans and providing health & safety folders for the Site Managers, Wilby Risk Management undertakes inspections and delivers toolbox talks to all the contractors on site. There is an annual review of the health & safety policy during which Wilby Risk Management contributes to the on- going improvement process. 

Wilby Risk Management continues to act as the external health & safety advisor to Interiors UK Ltd delivering when required site specific risk assessments and method statements and providing on-going support to the Directors and Contracts Managers.
